It’s that time of year again!

It’s time to get prepared to feed our community on Thanksgiving Day. Each year Gospel Light prepares and delivers a complete Thanksgiving Day meal to the needy, those in businesses, and our community’s first responders that have to work on Thanksgiving. It’s our way of saying, “We Care about our Community”!

In order to make this another first class day, we are calling on our faith family to provide the resources needed. Following you will find a list of items that will be needed for that day. If you would be able to provide any of these items, you will given an opportunity at church each Sunday leading up to Thanksgiving to let us know what and how many items you will be bringing. Or you can simply call the church office and relay that information to us.

40 – turkeys
25 – potatoes – 10 lb bags
80 – stuffing; family size boxes or bags
30 – green beans; #10 size cans
25 – corn ; #10 size cans
800 – rolls; brown & serve type
100 – pies; pumpkin, apple, or pecan

We’re asking that if you’re providing turkey(s), if they’re frozen, please bring them in no later than Sunday, Nov. 24. Cooked and sliced turkeys should be brought in no later than 8:30 Thanksgiving morning.

For your convenience, there will be tables to drop off your items located in the atrium or at the kitchen. Also, if you’d like to volunteer to work in the kitchen, serve in the cafeteria, or help deliver meals, please let the church office know. This is our opportunity to let Hot Springs know we love our community. Let’s all get involved.
