They are walking knowledge banks, able to help you find your way and answer questions. As you enter our main parking lot there will be Parking Lot attendants who will direct you to our Visitor Parking area.  From there you will be directed to our Connection Corner (Visitor and information center) where volunteers can direct you and your children to our Worship services.

Capachi’s Cafe

A few things you might want to know

Whether you are new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it has been a long time since you have attended church at all, we hope your first visit at Gospel Light Baptist Church will be a blessing and help to your life.

We are located at the intersection of 4th Street and Garland Avenue. The main entrance to the church auditorium is on Garland Avenue, and you will recognize it by the large church logo on the side of the building.  The main parking lot is located across the street from the church auditorium. As you pull on campus, our parking lot attendants will help you find a place to park.
Our campus has a lot of buildings, which to a guest can seem overwhelming at first. It’s not as complicated as it looks, and we would like to help you find the appropriate nurseries, classes, and services for every person in your family. Our First Impression team volunteers are located around campus, as well as at the Connection Corner in the atrium of the main auditorium, and will gladly help direct and even escort you to the right place.
On Sundays our first worship service starts at 9am along with a few adult small groups and the second one starts at 10:45am. These Worship services are identical.  Children’s ministry services(birth to 5th grade) run during both worship services at 9am & 10:45am on Sundays.  On Wednesdays our student ministry service(6th grade to 12th grade) meets at 7pm for their worship service and small group time.
We strive to create a unique church experience during every worship service. Each service kicks off with a time of worship music – which is often a blend of hymns and contemporary christian songs. This music provides an atmosphere of praise and worship to God. We do occasionally have special music groups and choir programs.

There is an opportunity to contribute financially to ministry needs during our offering time along with a few announcements about church events. Our Senior Pastor shares a Bible based sermon that is always honest and challenging, empowering you to apply Jesus’ words to your daily life. We like to end our teaching time with an invitation to spend a few minutes of prayer with spiritual counselors if needed.

There is no dress code at Gospel Light Baptist Church for members or guests. Some people dress up in traditional “Sunday” attire and others dress down; however, the idea is that you would come as you are comfortable.
Starting with excellent nurseries, we offer something for every age child from infant through high school!  At every service on Sunday there are safe and clean nurseries for infant children to three years old.

For children four years old through fifth grade there is a fun, friendly, and safe children’s ministry service at 9am & 10:45am Sunday mornings. These groups are staffed with qualified leaders and helpers who will make their time at church exciting and memorable.

Students sixth grade through twelfth grade attend the main worship service times at 9am & 10:45am Sunday mornings. Our student ministry services and small groups are held on Wednesday nights at 7pm.
